My Monthly Favorites

On My Mind
I have an exciting announcement, and it's being made here first before any other social media platform! Drumroll please... I'm going to Jerusalem this summer! My priest (Der Hayr in Armenian) selects one college-aged student every year from our church, and the same is done in other churches on the East Coast. So almost 30 young adults from many Armenian Apostolic Churches experience this together. The timing could not have been more perfect- I was having a bad week when my Der Hayr asked me to call him, and honored me with this amazing opportunity. God works in mysterious ways, and His timing to send me to the Holy Land could not have been more perfect! Particularly during this Lenten season. :)

Unsurprisingly, since I am also keeping up with my coursework, I'm still reading The Forty Days of Musa Dagh. It's almost 1,000 pages, so bear with me! I am almost done though, so hopefully before next month's Monthly Favorites I'll have finished it. :P

...Does my graduation cap and gown count? Just picked up these bad boys today and I'm already counting down the days (72 if you're wondering)! But on a real note I'm obsessed with my Cambridge Satchel Company bag (as seen here and here). Since my love for menswear only seems to be growing stronger, I wanted a more structured bag with clean lines, as compared to my trusty Marc Jacobs one. Since both of my bags are black, that leads me to what I've been lusting after lately. Read more two paragraphs down ;P

I've probably mentioned on this blog before how I mostly use natural and organic beauty products (with the exception of Mac lipsticks... I just can't find anything natural that's like it! If you have a recommendation I'd love to hear about it). For a day cream, I have been using this one by Kimberly Sayer, but just ran out. It was very light and not greasy at all, but I wanted to try something new. I have this Josie Maran one coming in the mail, and am excited to try one of her products for the first time!

A colorful bag! And by "colorful" I don't mean a splash of neon or polka-dots, I mean a subtle burgundy or sand color, unlike my mostly black handbags right now. Something like this from Cambridge Satchel Company or this Loeffler Randall one that I've been drooling over for at least a year. *le sigh.*
